The Officers and Executives: Vice President for Membership -
Ying Fan, Ph. D.
Dr. Ying Fan is working at US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a Clinical Pharmacology Reviewer in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology responsible for review of the Allergy and Pulmonary products in the Center of Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). She came to the FDA after obtaining her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with minor in statistics from the Oregon State University in 2007. Her Ph.D. project was focused on the Multi-drug resistance transporters (P-glycoprotein, MRP1 and MRP2) and their effects on the transport/absorption of pharmaceuticals and natural products by using Caco-2, MDCKII and LLC drug transport models. Prior to that, she obtained a Master Degree in 2003 from Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and her project of MS degree was involved in the main Pharmacodynamics research of Tremella Polysassharide (a new natural products used for treating asthma).
